Installation guide
Follow the steps below to connect Microsoft 365 to Scribe.
Create an outbound connector
To route emails through Scribe's secure servers, create an outbound connector in your Exchange admin. In the Exchange admin interface, go to Mail flow → Connectors and click "Add connector."
Select "Office 365" for connection from and "Partner organization" for connection to"
Configure connector details
Enter a connector name and description. Optionally, tick "Turn it on" to enable immediately."
Select option 1
Select "Route email through these smart hosts" and add "smtp.server.scribe-mail.com" to the list"

Select "Always use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to secure the connection (recommended)"
- Select: "Issued by a trusted certificate authority (CA)."
- Check: "Add the subject name or subject alternative name (SAN) matches this domain name."
- Enter: "smtp.server.scribe-mail.com" in the field.

Enter "scribe-o365-test@scribe-mail.com" as the test email and start the validation.
Sometimes, the validation fails; you can safely continue without validating.

Create an inbound connector
In your Exchange admin interface, go to Mail flow → Connectors and click "Add connector." Select connection from "Your organization's email server."
Enter a name and description. You can also tick "Turn it on" to enable the connector immediately.
Add the two following IPs to the list

Create a rule
In your Exchange admin interface, go to Mail flow → Rules
- Click: "Add rule"
- Click: "Create a new rule."
Fill in the first form as shown in the following screenshot
Enable rule
In the next step, you can leave the rule settings as they are.
You can then review your rule and save it. From the rules list, you can select your rule and enable it.
Configure DKIM
Configure DKIM for your sending domains to keep emails out of spam folders and avoid missing assets such as images and links.
Install team signatures
From your signatures list, install all signatures at once for your teammates or install them one by one for a phased rollout.

Your Microsoft 365 integration questions answered
Outgoing Microsoft 365 mail is routed through Scribe's mail relay, which adds the signature as each email leaves your organisation. Nothing is installed on teammates' devices, and recipients get the signature from every email client and device, including Apple Mail and mobile apps.
No. The signature is added after the email is sent, so it does not show in the compose window or in the Sent folder copy; the recipient always receives the full signature. Combine it with the client-side Microsoft 365 integration and Scribe defaults to client-side, so teammates see their signature while writing.
Yes. Outgoing emails pass through Scribe's secure servers so the signature can be added. Scribe cannot read or edit your emails: body, subject, recipients and attachments pass through unchanged. Scribe is SOC 2 Type II certified.
Yes, plan it with your IT team. Setup happens in the Microsoft 365 admin console: a mail routing rule sends outgoing mail through the Scribe relay, and DKIM and ARC signing must be configured so your recipients keep verifying your mail.

Yes.
