Installation guide
Follow the steps below to connect Smartlead to Scribe.
In Smartlead, open click on Settings in the top right corner
Then, in the left menu, click on "API Keys Management"
Then, click on "Create Admin Key"
Enter a name for your API key, then click "Create"
In the list unveil the key you just created and copy the API key. Then, paste it into the field below and click "Connect Smartlead"

Your Smartlead integration questions answered
No. Scribe installs the signature on each Smartlead email account through the API key you create. Email addresses in Smartlead must match the ones in Scribe, and one signature is installed per address (the highest-priority one when several are assigned).
The Smartlead integration installs signatures for Web.
No. The Smartlead integration is cloud-based: the signature lives in each user's Smartlead account and your emails stay within your email provider. Scribe is SOC 2 Type II certified.
Publish the change in Scribe and it is pushed to every assigned Smartlead user automatically; there is nothing to reinstall. Smartfields keep names, job titles and phone numbers up to date.

Yes. Connect the Scribe MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI assistant and it can walk you through this guide, create and assign signatures, and check that the installation went through. Authorising Smartlead itself (admin consent, OAuth or an API key) has to be done by you, in your browser: an AI agent cannot grant that access on your behalf. See scribe-mail.com/ai-agents.
