Installation guide
Follow the steps below to connect Okta to Scribe.
Navigate to your Okta admin console and select Menu > Applications > Applications.
Click on Create App Integration
Choose 'OIDC - OpenID Connect' and 'Single-Page Application', then click 'Next'.
In 'General Settings', name your application and turn on the 'Refresh Token' option.
In the 'Sign-in redirect URIs' section, copy the Scribe callback value
https://app.scribe-mail.com/callback/okta
In the 'Assignments' section, choose 'Allow everyone in your organization to access' and then hit 'Save'.
Copy and paste the Client ID below
Copy and paste your Okta Domain in Scribe.
Grant access to okta.users.read and okta.schemas.read scopes.
Click 'Connect Okta' below and follow the popup instructions.

No. Once Okta is connected, Scribe fills the smart fields automatically; nothing is asked of your teammates.
Scribe re-syncs connected data sources once a day, based on your time zone, and you can refresh manually at any time. Updated data flows into the affected signatures automatically; automated fields are edited at the source, not in Scribe.

Scribe only uses the employee data needed to fill signatures and is SOC 2 Type II certified.
Yes. Connect the Scribe MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI assistant and it can walk you through this guide, create and assign signatures, and check that the installation went through. Authorizing Okta itself (admin consent, OAuth or an API key) has to be done by you, in your browser: an AI agent cannot grant that access on your behalf. See scribe-mail.com/ai-agents.
