Marketing and IT teams
who care about their brand
Every employee sends hundreds of emails a month. Each one is a surface where your brand shows up. But most teams treat signatures as a formatting afterthought. With consistent signatures and trackable banners, those emails become a measurable channel: clicks, conversions, and revenue you can attribute back to one-to-one and outbound email.
This calculator estimates the lead generation potential and time savings a team can expect from automating signatures with Scribe. The defaults use benchmarks from 50,000+ emails sent through Scribe banners.

Methodology
Two formulas. Plain assumptions. Tweak any input to match your team and the results update live.
The default 12% click-through rate is the Scribe customer benchmark, measured across 50,000+ emails sent through Scribe banners, versus roughly 2% for traditional email marketing. Working days default to 21 per month. If your team isn't outbound-heavy, drop daily emails to 5 to 10 to model a support, product, or operations team instead of sales.
The 45-minute-per-update industry average covers design, approvals, manual installation in each employee's mail client, and follow-ups for non-compliance. Scribe's automated deployment drops this to about 1 minute per update because the deployment is centralised. IT integrates once, Marketing pushes updates company-wide in a click.

FAQ
Email signature ROI is measured along two axes: revenue generated and time saved. On the revenue side, it's the value of leads and customers your team's signatures bring in, typically calculated as total emails sent × signature banner click-through rate × landing page conversion rate × average customer value. On the time side, it's the hours your team gets back when signatures are managed centrally instead of one inbox at a time, multiplied by your team's hourly cost. A complete ROI calculation subtracts the cost of the signature platform from both gains. The calculator above models both with sensible defaults you can adjust for your team.
Across 50,000+ emails sent through Scribe, signature banners average a 12% click-through rate, roughly 6× higher than typical email marketing. Two things drive the gap. First, signature emails are one-to-one and already opened. Someone is reading a real, individual message directed at them, not scanning a marketing blast. Second, the banner sits inside a message the recipient is actively engaged with, not previewed and discarded. Anything above 8% is healthy. Below 4% usually points to a mismatch: wrong audience, weak offer, or a destination that doesn't follow through on the click.
When someone clicks a link in a Scribe signature, we append a unique click ID called sclid to the destination URL, similar to Google's gclid or Meta's fbclid. A lightweight tracking SDK on your website (under 3KB, installable without a developer) stores that ID in a first-party cookie. When the visitor completes an action you've defined (demo booked, signup, purchase), the SDK reports it back, and Scribe attributes the conversion to the specific signature, banner, campaign, and teammate that generated the click. For purchase or subscription events where accuracy matters most, you can also send conversions server-side via the API. Attribution uses last-touch within a 30-day window. Full setup details are in the conversion tracking docs.
Most teams see measurable returns within the first month. Time savings start the moment automated deployment is live, usually within a day of setup. There's no waiting period: every signature update from that point forward bypasses manual installation entirely. Revenue attribution takes slightly longer because it depends on your sales cycle. For self-serve products with short cycles, conversions can show up in the first week of running a banner. For longer B2B cycles, click-to-conversion data populates as deals progress, but you'll see leads attributed back to specific signatures and teammates from day one.
